CLUB president Linos Scott hosted a brilliant day at Cardigan Golf Club on President's Prize Day last month.
On Saturday, July 25, a nice sunny day attracted a good turnout of 78 players who enjoyed a course presented in superb condition.
There was good scoring from many players, but the highlight of the day was the new course record set by Richard Emanuel.
Richard, playing off a handicap of plus 2, shot a gross score of 65 beating the previous record held by Steven Rees of Carmarthen by one shot.
The results were: Longest drive: Nigel Gooch, Nearest the pin:Mick McArdle.
The winner of the gross and net was Rich Emanuel (gross 65 net 67); 2nd Ifan Jones (net 67 on count back); 3rd Richard Griffiths (net 69); 4th Pat Malloy (net 70). Past Presidents 14 hole prize Richard Staggs.
