Cardigan Golf Club held its Captain's Day on Saturday, August 8.

Club Captain, Owen Jones, hosted an excellent Medal Competition and 78 members enjoyed beautiful weather and generous hospitality.

The course was in superb condition once again and there were some good scores posted.

The winner with a nett 68 playing off a handicap of 5 was Richard Griffiths.

Richard also won the Captain's Day in 1989 when he was just 18 years of age when Ieuan Evans was Captain.

In second place on count back with a nett 70 playing off 12 was Mick McArdle, and in third place also with a nett 70 playing off 4 was Andrew Rodda.

Nearest the pin was won by Mike Allen and the longest drive was won by young Jac Emanuel. There was also a hole in one on the 8th by Rob Clark.
