WITH three fixtures left the Ceredigion Bowling Association Division One title race between champions Lampeter and Cardigan is building up to an exciting shootout after both banked maximum points from their latest outings leaving the Cardis two points clear at the head of affairs.

Cardigan visit Aberystwyth tomorrow while the champs are at Tregaron and seven days later it’s crunch time when the rivals go head-to-head on the Gwbert Road green in Cardigan before Neville Morgan and co end the campaign at home against bottom of the pile Llandysul and Lampeter host New Quay.

CARDIGAN went into the game at the seaside without five regulars who were unavailable but still managed to come away with a full complement of points

LAMPETER stayed right on the shirttails of the leaders with a comprehensive victory against visitors Aberystwyth on the Rookery green.
