A MONTH before the start of the new Costcutter Ceredigion Football League season there is a big blow for St Dogmaels with the loss of first team manager Steve Jerry Williams.
Under the 42-year-old’s tenure Saints won a large number of trophies and topped division one for a lengthy period last term before finishing third behind Cardigan Town and Newcastle Emlyn. The team won 15 of 22 games.
A local postman, Williams is reluctantly standing down due to work commitments which will make it extremely difficult for him to carry out his duties on a Saturday.
The club is to discuss the appointment of a successor in the near future.
