ADAPTING well to the Newcastle Emlyn all-weather green Lampeter stole the limelight in the singles and pairs competitions at the Ceredigion two-wood championships.
Bowling accurately and consistently throughout Eddie Thomas retained his singles title with a 21-20 semi-final win over fellow Lampeter bowler Ron Thomas and a 21-9 final win over Emlyn’s John Davies. The other semi-finalist was Cardigan skipper Neville Morgan.
In the pairs competition Elfan James and Henry Jones sprang a 23-16 win over Iori Thomas and Paul Edwards of Cardigan.
