Neyland 2nds202-6 lost to Crymych 204-2

CRYMYCH moved to fourth in the Pembroke County Cricket Club third division table after picking up an impressive eight-wicket victory at Neyland 2nds.

The the home side posted 202-6 at tea, Gareth Virgo 52, Jason Oakley 38no and Luke Ryan 23no all contributed with decent innings for the home side, Alan Luke (2-17) and Harry Dunn (2-17) took two wickets apiece for the visitors.

However, the undoubted star of the match was Sam Kurtz, who struck a brilliant undefeated 113 not out for Crymych, impressively smashing 21 fours and three sixes in his match winning innings. Richard Thorne 27 also contributed well with the bat and Tom Lewis 26 not out stayed with Kurtz as they put on an 88 partnership, as the visitors won convincingly in the 24th over and picked up 28 valuable league points in the process.

This Saturday, Crymych travel to fifth placed Herbrandston.
