THE majority of the Pembrokeshire League Cricket programme involving six divisions was wiped out by the weather, including the Division Three local derby between Crymych and Llechryd at Glandy Cross.

Despite rain during the morning the Division Four game between Llechryd Seconds and their Burton counterparts reduced to 35 overs was completed at overcast Castell Malgwyn and resulted in a two-wicket win for the Teifisiders.

Having first use of a flat track Burton failed to get on top of the Llechryd attack and the visitors were dismissed for 115 with William Rudge making 25.

Seamer Ajeesh Thanammakal returned figures of 2-22, medium pacer Scott Thomas snapped three wickets and highly promising 15-year-old all-rounder Joe Mansfield had figures of 2-9 off seven overs of medium pace.

Experienced Andrew Fletcher took five catches behind the stumps.

In the early Llechryd reply opener Josh Townsend made a patient 20, Adam Betts contributed 25 and Thanammakal was top scorer on 37.

Carrying on where he left off with the ball young Mansfield at number nine displayed maturity beyond his years as he made an unbeaten 18, his cameo innings including a match-winning boundary in the final over as the homesters reached the target for the loss of eight wickets.

Crymych Seconds played only their second game in Division Six and claimed a six-wicket away win over Neyland Thirds.

Neyland posted 182 with Stephen Murray (35), Ben Mathias 32 and Ben Milson (28) the mainstays. Dafydd Tomos-Wright picked up three wickets and there were two apiece for Rhodri Lewis and Andrew Thomas.

As the Preselimen reached the target for the loss of four wickets Ollie Goldstone made 68 and was given excellent support from Dyfed Sion (47) and Rhodri Lewis (39 not out).
