THERE was huge disappointment for Cardigan darts star Jamie Lewis in the bwin World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt, Germany on Friday when he and Welsh partner Mark Webster were knocked out in the first round by outsiders Hong Kong.

Webster from Denbigh, who reached the final with Wales five years ago, finished on 72 and 95 to give his country a 2-1 lead but Hong Kong took the next three legs including a 131 checkout by Ting Chi Royden Lam to go 4-2 up.

Webster went out on double 20 to reduce the arrears but Lamb hit double ten to put the seventh seeds out and send Hong Kong into the last 16.
