The first showing show of 2015 was held at Celaeron Equestrian Centre, near Ffosyffin over the weekend. Riders from near and far braved the wintry weather and ensured a good show, with all 30 classes well supported.
Judges for the day were Lester Dagge (in-hand) and Dr Niki Brewer (ridden)
The in hand champion was Emma Le Page with Goyffos Perfect Storm, with Barry Thomas of Crymych and his coloured traditional stallion, Master Guitarman in reserve. In the afternoon, the ridden classes saw huge entries with nine year old Soffia Cynwyl with Coppie Bryony Rose taking the championship at their very first show together and junior jockey Nuala Ellis Jones of Aberystwyth in reserve spot with her coloured gelding, Doylan Anouska's Gift.
‘ Wow what a day! We had incredible turnout at our showing show, so thank you all for coming, the weather was great, if a touch chilly! It was lovely to see so many wonderfully behaved, and turned out horses at this time of year. I think we saw some stars of the future today too, lots of novices had their first outing, and all were impeccably behaved!’ said Cel Equestrian Centre owner, Kelly Webb.
The next showing show will be held on March 1.
