Although there has not been an official reaction from the Cardigan & District Darts League Committee circles are buzzing after a player showed his frustration over defeat by snapping his designer darts and announcing his intention never to play competitively in the future.

In a doubles game the darts destroyer and his partner won the first leg, and after their opponents drew level and went on to take the deciding leg onlookers couldn’t believe their eyes when the disappointed loser broke his darts and hurled them to the floor.

Asked for a comment on what is said to be an unprecedented incident in the long history of the league an official said “A player is entitled to do what he wishes with his darts and perhaps it would not be right for us to comment.”
