Hydrospin involving riding stainless steel aquabikes waist deep in water over 12 hours at four local swimming pools has raised a hefty sum for a national charity.
Lifeguard David Maund of Newcastle Emlyn, who introduced Hydrospin to the area, undertook the marathon stints at Newcastle Emlyn, Cardigan, Llandysul and Aberaeron accompanied by friends.
The 31-year-old, who is planning to start Hydrospin classes at Narberth Swimming Pool, is taking part in the ‘Survival of the Fittest’ event organised by Men’s Health magazine at Cardiff on Sunday, September 28 when he will again be raising funds for the cancer charity. Further details can be obtained from David (tel. 07792 351607).
