Cardigan Golf Club had a busy bank holiday weekend with 3 competitions held together with a very successful barbecue on Saturday evening enjoyed by over 200 members and guests. On Saturday, the Millennium Mixed Trophy was won by Peter and Nicola Ward with 45 stableford points. In second place was Keith and Yvonne Phillips with 42 points. On Sunday, the Eivryn James Challenge Bowl attracted an excellent entry of 61. The winner of this medal competition was Ifan Jones with a nett 69 playing off a handicap of 24. In second place on count back was Barrie Davies with a nett 71 playing off 14, and in third place, again on count back, was Andrew Rodda, also with a nett 71 playing off 4. On Bank Holiday Monday, the Bendal Cup only attracted 19 entries due to the poor weather conditions. The winner was Lyndsay Morgan with a nett 70 playing off a handicap of 6. In second place was James Pegg with a nett 72 playing off 2, and in third place was Steffan Evans with a nett 74 playing off 4.
