On your marks, get ready and see if you have what it takes to complete the challenging Silver Valley 10k Run.

The North Pembrokeshire Silver Valley run will be held on Sunday the 29th of June 2014. Both the main run and the fun will commence from the Hermon Playing field at 11.00am and will predominantly be off road runs. The event is a fund raiser for the community playing field maintenance at Hermon. The 10km run will run through secluded farm lanes and follow the old Railway line, running past silver mines, chapels, Mansel Davies Haulage and through the villages of Glogue and Llanfyrnach. The organizers have trophies for first male and female runners in the three categories for the main 10km race. Goody bags distributed at the finish line.

There will also be an opportunity for school children to run a special class in the fun run as well as under 11 year old and under seven year old races to be run at Playing field site. Adults also welcome on the 4km. For further information regarding the event please contact Cris Tomos on 01239 831962. In 2013 over 60 people took part in the 2 runs as the event has grown from strength to strength. See a film of the 2011 run on You Tube by typing in Cwm Arian Fun Run.
