Three defeats on the bounce for promoted Llechryd left the Teifisiders at the bottom of the pile in Division Two with a visit to second in the table Johnston this Saturday.

John Curran and Co were brushed aside by leaders Llangwm at the Castell Malgwyn ground where the visitors posted a useful total before dismissing the hosts cheaply for a 92-run win.

In a Llangwm total of 168 most batsmen made useful contribution including James Venables who made 26 while super veteran seamer Peter Betterley returned figures of 4-13.

In reply Llechryd were dismissed for 76 with John Curran top scorer with 16 while medium pacer Ollie Davies picked up four wickets.

In the third division Crymych also confronted the league leaders and went down to a 39-run defeat against Lamphey at Glandy Cross.

Batting first the leaders posted a more than useful total of 179 for the loss of nine wickets with opener Hywel Gibbs leading the charge with a well-compiled 78 and James Skeele making 43. Rhydian Wyn had figures of 3-20 and Alan Luke snapped two wickets.

Sam Kurtz (46) and Osian Wyn (26) made useful contributions for the hosts but they were dismissed for 140. James Skeele carried on where he left off with the bat as he picked up four wickets and Stephen Vale pitched in with two.

On Saturday the Preselimen visit second in the table Stackpole.

Llechryd 2nds fared no better than the seniors as they went down to a 40-run away defeat against Narberth 3rds in the fifth division.

The hosts were all out for 153 (30 points) with Shane Morgan making a half century and Huw Simkins undefeated on 23.

Alex Smith was best of the Llechryd bowlers as he snapped three wickets for 11 runs.

In a Llechryd total of 113 Adam Williams was top scorer with 53 and Alex Smith made 43. Medium-pacer Sean Thomas returned the excellent figures of 7-16.

Leaders Pembroke Dock 2nds are the visitors to the Castell Malgwyn ground on Saturday.

Crymych 2nds were no match for Division Six leaders Lamphey 2nds and lost by seven wickets. The visitors were skittled for 36 as Guiseppie Tremarco snapped five wickets and the leaders knocked off the runs for the loss of three wickets.
