Victory for Llandysul

Two wins from as many outings have given Llandysul the ideal start in the South Wales Cricket Association Division Two and could instil confidence for a tough away clash with leaders Briton Ferry Steel this Saturday.
After winning the toss the homesters put their opponents in, a decision they were to regret as the Teifisiders posted 205-7 in 50 overs.
Mark Wilson and Gareth Lanagan shared in an opening stand of 86 before the latter was caught by Sam Weeds off seamer Iwan Rees. Wilson went on to make 62 with four fours and two towering sixes before a mini-collapse when new arrival Rhydian Harries the ex-Ammanford and Whitland opener went for seven.
Further down the order Andrew Edwards, Llewellyn Hughes and Llyr Morris made useful contributions.
Llanelli struggled from the word go against accurate bowling by Adrian Davies, Andrew Edwards and Ieuan Paske with only Elis Richards (25) at first wicket down and Iwan Richards (28) in the middle order providing resistance as they were dismissed for 85 in 3d2.4 overs.
Paceman Edwards, a new recruit from Carmarthen Wanderers, took three wickets for 23 runs in ten overs, two of which were maidens and Paske also picked up three wickets.
