Cardigan Rugby Club is to appoint new coaching staff for next season due to Colin Davies and Mathew Monaghan stepping down after one season at the helm.
Former prop Monaghan the ex-Carmarthen Quins youth coach, and Davies who has had a spell with Narberth and turned out for Cardigan during the latter part of the season, are resigning because they cannot devote the time needed to the coaching duties due to family reasons.
Paying tribute to the coaches chairman Tony Mason said “On behalf of the club I’d like to say a big thank you to Colin and Mathew for their contributions. They did a tremendous job.”
During what was an average season in Division Three West the club finished sixth of twelve after winning eight games and losing 14.
