The sound of leather on willow would appear a long way off at the start of March but fixtures for the new Pembroke County League have been announced with last year’s Division Three champions Llechryd looking forward to competing in the league’s second tier.
Llechryd, again led by teenage all-rounder John Curran, start the new campaign on Sunday, April 27 with a home game against Burton who finished last term in mid table.
The following Saturday the Teifisiders are again at home when Cresselly Seconds provide the opposition, visit Pembroke on May 10 and Johnston the following Saturday before ending the month at home against last season’s Division Three runners-up Hook.
In the third division Crymych start the campaign against Herbrandston at Glandy Cross and during May have games against Narberth Seconds, Kilgetty, Lamphey, Stackpole and Camrose & Spittal.
