Despite the Wales Women rugby team going down to defeat at the hands of Italy and Ireland in their first two home internationals local player Nia Davies came out of the games with credit.
As Wales lost 12-11 against Italy at the Talbot Athletic ground the 21-year-old from Llangoedmor turned in a first-rate performance in the engine room.
The Welsh Women suffered a 14-6 defeat against Ireland at Ashbourne RFC on Friday when Nia was switched to the backrow and was again to the fore.
Praising the Cardiff Met/Blues forward Wales head coach Rhys Edwards said “Nia did really well in both games and is an established member of the squad.”
