Twenty two girls from Fishguard Football Club took part in the latest Pembrokeshire Girls League fixtures at Sir Thomas Picton School on Sunday.

The under 12s team are getting increasingly competitive and with more confidence and experience will start to win more games. Among the key players was Kaitlyn Owen, who played her first tournament, and was praised for her performance.

The under 14s put in their best display of the season as they almost went through all their fixtures unbeaten. Unfortunately an injury to star striker Jasmin Reynolds in the penultimate game hindered the girls’ chances in the final game.

The girls all attend Ysgol Bro Gwaun and train on a Thursday after school as part of their Sport Pembrokeshire 5x60 sessions.
