IN pulling off a second success Crymych made it abundantly clear they have what it takes to hold their own in the WRU Division One West writes John Adey.
The Preselimen notched a 49-21 bonus point win over Ammanford at Parc Lloyd Thomas and put themselves in the right frame of mind for a big test this Saturday with a visit to second in the table Waunarlwydd.
It was essentially a first-rate team effort that carried the day with try hat-trick right-winger Gavin Thomas man of the match. Special mention should also be made of lock Griffith Howells and openside flanker Tom Powell while prop Rhys Richards marked a milestone in making his 200th first team appearance for the club.
The game was over as a serious contest before half time with the north Pembrokeshire villagers leading 30-0 and on auto pilot.
Guto Griffith (2), Gavin Thomas and scrum-half Rhys Davies got tries while the latter converted two of the scores and landed two penalties.
As the homesters continued to dominate during the second period Thomas completed his try hat-trick, full-back Adam Phillips also got in on the act.
For the visitors flanker Llyr Morris, centre Tom Rees and winger Gary Stephens went in for tries, all converted by outside half Rhydian Morris.
