Local watersports charity, Cardigan Bay Watersports, has an exciting line up of activities taking place at the Centre over the bank holiday weekend including Saturday Sailing Squad and Saturday Windsurfer Improver on the 24th August, and Sunday Splash on 25th August.
As well as being open for its usual water equipment hire and taster sessions, youngsters aged 8-15 years, are welcome to pop along to the Centre to take part in the watersports activities, which will not only be fun and exciting, but will also improve water confidence and provide youngsters with new skills.
Saturday Sailing Squad takes pace from 10am – 12pm, and is open to those who can already sail and wish to improve boat handling and work towards their Royal Yachting Association (RYA) stages. Saturday Windsurfer Improver takes place from 1pm – 3pm and will help improve windsurf handling, stability and confidence.
Sunday Splash, which takes place from 10am – 12pm, is open to all, giving youngsters the opportunity to have some fun and try their hand at paddle boarding, kayaking, windsurfing and sailing, aiming to help improve the confidence of young people in the water.
Crawford Mcleary, Cardigan Bay Watersports Centre Manager says: “We have been running these sessions every Saturday and Sunday through the summer holidays, and we’re really pleased at how successful they’ve been. It’s been great to open up the Centre to more people over the summer period. We’re looking forward to welcoming even more people over the bank holiday weekend, who want to improve their confidence and skills in various watersport activities, while having a bit of fun.”
