CHILDREN at Great Missenden CE Combined School will see their hand-drawn Christmas posters all round Great Missenden.
Children at the school in Church Street, Great Missenden, have been taking a hand in advertising their school's Christmas fair.
The posters designed by the children will be displayed around the village to advertise the school's Christmas fair on November 24.
Staff and parents at the school thought this would be a good way of publicising the fair and involving the pupils.
Headteacher Pat Budge said: "It was purely voluntary.
"The children designed and made the posters entirely in their own time and we had at least 80 entries. Because we are a combined school we did a first school and a middle school competition so there was a competition for children from five to seven and another one in the middle school from eight to 11.
"The standard was excellent, very, very high, and it was great that the children did it on their own which was the important thing.
"They had to be eye-catching and it had to be a Christmas theme. We have had some with cotton wool and glitter.
Grace Varley won the competition for the first school, while Joanna Henderson won the middle school competition.
Both won £5 book tokens. There was also second prize and a third prize.
"The posters were judged by myself and there were so many that I had to have a few helpers so the office staff helped pick the winning ones.
"Some posters will go round the village and others will go round the playground so parents see them when they pick up their children from school."
