SCHOOLCHILDREN have helped get Narberth Food Festival's 20th birthday celebrations off to a great start by creating a giant greeting.
More than 90 youngsters from Narberth, Templeton and Tavernspite schools took over the festival's massive marquee today (Friday) ahead of the weekend's festival.
During Education Day - the event's traditional curtain-raiser - the children tried their hand at making sausages and butter; had a taste of Italian cookery, learnt about animal food from the hedgerows and chilled out with yoga, celebration-themed craft and poetry.
Narberth Food Festival takes place on the Town Moor, Narberth tomorrow(Saturday) and Sunday, with more than 50 stalls, live music and entertainment, masterclasses and free children's activities.
