THE heartbroken family of Kiara Moore is planning a celebration of her life when her funeral is held on Tuesday (March 27).

The two-year-old was pulled from a car that rolled down a slipway into the River Teifi at Cardigan on Monday and despite desperate efforts by the emergency services to save her life, the youngster died.

Tuesday would have been Kiara’s third birthday and in a post on social media, dad Jet Moore said: “RAR RAR (Kiara’s) funeral and party will be held on March 27. Myself, Kim and family would like to invite you all to either the funeral and party for her happy life and birthday or just be have a thought for her on this day and make someone happy.”

Mr Moore added: “Please bring kids if you can (we are keeping it a happy celebration).”

He added that the dress code for the funeral and party would be “bright and beautiful” and “fun only.”

The funeral will be held at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth, followed by a party at the Ffostrasol Arms, near to the family’s Llandysul home.

Mr Moore has so far raised more than £1,100 for the Welsh Air Ambulance as a ‘thank you’ for their efforts in trying to save his daughter.

A spokesman for the Welsh Air Ambulance said: "We are so grateful to Jet for requesting donations to Wales Air Ambulance at this sad time. Our thoughts are with the family, friends and the entire community who are mourning the loss of Kiara."

And the family is also looking to set up a Trust in Kiara’s memory to help others.

Mr Moore said: “Using her amazing happy life of adventure that she gave us and we gave her, we are going to set up a trust to support people who are sad (mental health) and the outdoor environment.

“So please do not buy flowers but donate money to this and we will make happy experiences for 100s and 1000s I hope.”

A police investigation into Kiara's death is continuing and an inquest has been opened and adjourned to a date to be fixed by Ceredigion coroner Peter Brunton.
