FOLLOWING on from a successful transition day held within the Science Department at Ysgol Bro Gwaun, pupils from local primary schools were invited to enter an exciting writing competition to demonstrate their reporting skills.
The CSI themed day was a huge success with high standards demonstrated in practical skills, team work and investigative recording.
This year's joint winners were Mari Cottrell and Evie Woodman of Ysgol Ger-y-Llan, Letterston, who impressed an independent judging panel through demonstrating high standards in spelling, presentation and the scientific content of their newspaper report.
Both pupils were presented with the Crime Scene Investigators Science Award certificate and Forensic crime pack by head teacher Paul Edwards.
Mr Edwards, Head Teacher at Ysgol Bro Gwaun, said the staff at Bro Gwaun are thoroughly looking forward to working with these enthusiastic and hardworking, budding young scientists again in the future.
