MORE than 650 people took the rare opportunity to visit Fishguard Harbour's north Breakwater on Sunday and helped raise funds for the RNLI.
The breakwater was open by kind permission of Stena and a bumper amount of visitors enjoyed a stroll in the glorious sunshine before returning to the lifeboat station for an up close viewing of Fishguard’s inshore lifeboat and to sample a delicious array of cakes put on by the fundraising team.
West Wales Model Boats were also in attendance with a fine display of model boats and vehicles.
The event has raised around £1,300 for Fishguard and Goodwick RNLI, including donations to walk the breakwater and cake, souvenir and refreshment sales.
