A crowd gathered at Castle Square earlier today to 'Stand Up' against austerity.
Members and supporters of the Pembrokeshire People's Assembly changed their planned demo out of respect for those who lost their lives in the Manchester terror atrocity an stood in an outward facing circle of solidaritiy.
They were demonstrating rating their support for all those affected by disability and benefit cuts while also maintaining a message of 'hope not hate'.
Also joining the protest in Haverfordwest was Welly the elephant, a play on what protesters call 'the elephant in the room' - how austerity has affected child poverty, food bank use, student debt, homelessness, and daily life for those living with a disability.
Campaigners from across the political spectrum had pledged their support to the protest ahead of the looming general election.
"People need to know how bad things really are out there and we aim to expose the realities of austerity to the people of Pembrokeshire and encourage people to think long and hard before casting their vote in June," a group spokesman said.
