Parents are being warned to be on their guard after a man in a black Vauxhall estate car reportedly tried to persuade three teenagers into his car outside a Pembrokeshire school on Tuesday.
Parents from some of the county’s schools have received a text from their child’s school warning them to be vigilant.
The specific school involved was not named in the text message.
A spokesman for Pembrokeshire County Council said: "Although this now appears to be a genuine misunderstanding, County Hall contacted all school headteachers in the county immediately following the alleged incident to make them aware of the potential danger and to remind them of the continuing need to be vigilant with regard to the safeguarding of their pupils."
