RESPECTED Welsh composer Sir Karl Jenkins will make his St David’s Cathedral debut on Saturday, May 6.
The most-performed living composer in the world, Swansea-born Sir Karl will conduct an evening of his own music, including arguably his most famous work 'The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace'.
The evening is presented by Milford Haven Music Festival, of which Sir Karl is Patron.
Other performers will include a 'tour de force' of Welsh talent, including Côr Caerdydd, baritone Gary Griffiths, mezzo soprano Sioned Gwen Davies and the British Sinfonietta Orchestra.
Festival chairman June Rees said: “This is a very special event for the festival and Pembrokeshire as a whole.
"Sir Karl Jenkins conducting his own music at St David’s Cathedral for the first time is a truly historical event and one not to be missed."
