An appeal is being made for a new chairman for the Fishguard and Goodwick RNLI fundraising branch as the current chairman, Roger Tayler, is leaving the area.

After almost eight years in the role, Mr Tayler is stepping down as he and his wife Beth are moving away.

The RNLI fundraising committee is keen to attract new members and they stress that this includes young people, who could see this volunteering as part of their Duke of Edinburgh award work.

It's a very rewarding experience, said Roger.

"We joined the fundraising committee as a way of becoming involved in the community," he said. "The fundraisers have been great fun and we have made many good friends."
