TALENTED young musicians from Pembrokeshire are putting the finishing touches ready for a series of forthcoming concerts at Sir Thomas Picton School, the first of which takes place today (Saturday).

The Valero Primary Music Festival will take place at the school at 2.30pm, this afternoon.

This showcase concert will feature the primary schools area ensembles where the overall winners of the strings, brass, woodwind, percussion, piano and ensemble will perform.

The following Friday on March 31 at 7pm, a Spring Concert will be held, featuring the Pembrokeshire Primary Training Orchestra, Flute Choir, Clarinet Ensemble and Concert Band.

Finally, on Saturday April 1, another Spring Concert will feature the Big Band, Symphonic Brass Ensemble, Symphonic Wind Band, Chamber Orchestra and the Pembrokeshire Schools Orchestra. The concert starts at 6pm.

Tickets for all shows are available on the door costing £5, and £3 for concessions.
