A Narberth man who had sexual intercourse with a 15 year old girl has been jailed today for two years.

Nathan Lloyd, aged 24, had admitted sexual activity with a child in January, 2015.

Lloyd, of Adams Drive, was also ordered to register with the police as a sex offender for the next 10 years and was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for the same period.

He was also banned from working with children and vulnerable people after his release from prison.

Swansea crown court heard how Lloyd had been charged with two offences, but he had admitted only one.

Robin Rouch, prosecuting, said it was not possible to prove that Lloyd knew the girl was only 15 at the time of the first incident a month earlier, even though the girl said he had been.

But he certainly did by the January.

There was evidence of grooming, the use of alcohol and the booking of a hotel room, he added.

Judge Paul Thomas made Lloyd the subject of a restraining order preventing him from making contact with the girl by any means.

The court heard that when the police investigation began it was into more serious allegations.

But an examination of mobile telephones revealed text messages "that showed a different picture."
