Art without public consent

2:08pm Tuesday 8th April 2008

A lot has been said and written about the proposed installation destined for the Teifi.

I like the idea of C Turner, it would certainly have my support and Dai Davies has hit the nail firmly on its head, well said Sir.

When one considers the amount of artistic talent their is supposed to be locally, what a slap in the face it must be to see this prestigious (?) prize awarded to an outsider whether he's world renowned or not.

The whole enterprise is not untypical of small minded condescending patronising authorities with oversized pretensions upending other people's money on so-called art works. The end result being public art without public consent.
