Stop whining about wind turbines

I read with interest the numerous letters printed protesting about a new wind farm project. Some are banging on about the cost.

What has this got to do with the public they are not paying the bill.

Some go on about the hazard to wildlife, if one takes the time to visit the Blaenbowi site or the Blaenwaun Whitland site, which is much bigger and has now been running for 10 years and you will see for yourself the wildlife and farm animals for that matter take not a blind bit of notice.

The new and interesting thing is the people that the protesters have found that are allergic to low frequency sound.

I am sure if you search the internet you could find someone allergic to fresh air and clean water.

Weather you like it or not or if you have even noticed the tiny snippets of news (some of you have been so busy being anti wind power) the Government is considering nuclear power.

For my money what choice have we got? Coal and oil both give off CO2 emissions, which add to global warming etc.

If you discount Chernobyl, nuclear power is emission free. The fact that NO nuclear plant in this country has ever made a profit is beside the point. At the end of the day its clean electricity which you all want to power your enthusiasm for protesting against wind turbines.

Just after Easter I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to drive south on the A487 from Caernarfon, the scenery in North Wales equals anything I've seen anywhere in the world.

Then you pass Trawsfynydd and the now closed nuclear plant. What else can I say; we have to live with that monstrosity for the next 100 years until it can be demolished.

Anyway the point of this letter. If the government of the day decides to build a new nuclear plant in your back yard you might as well except it as there is nothing you can do about it.

So take my advice and stop protesting about wind turbines.
