I read with interest the article about the closure of so many shops and also the Black Lion in Cardigan.

So many of the buildings looking nice after the make over'. It is sad to see so many empty buildings. It is not only the shops who are finding it hard. My daughter has a stall in the market and all the traders are finding it hard as business has fallen over the last few months.

The rents have gone up which makes it harder. I hope the party who wins the forthcoming elections will try to resolve Cardigan's problems before Cardigan becomes a ghost town. Cardigan has so much going for it and the shops are an important part of the town, and as 2010 is such an important year. We often hear visitors and business people remark about the car park charges.

Good luck to the party who are successful in the election lets hope they can solve Cardigan's problem.

The carpark charges are far to high, it deters people from shopping in the town by adding to the cost of the item they want to buy.

First parking spaces outside the shops are taken away, then car park charges are put up. The first two hours ought to be free to encourage shoppers.

Why are people saying that the car parking charges are too high? One hour costs 70p, two hours cost 90p!!!
