Dear Editor,

This is an open letter I have written to the Tai Ceredigion board.

I refer to your open letter in this week's edition of the Tivy-Side to Cardigan Town Council.

Following discussions with the group and Cllr John Adams-Lewis, it has been decided by all that this letter be written informing you that we will be giving our full support to John Adams-Lewis in pursuing the Village Green application which is due to go to a public inquiry this month.

In the event that agreement is reached on the development of the southern portion of the site (ie that portion containing the garages only) for a single disabled bungalow (subject to planning permission actually being granted), we would require assurances over the protection of nature conservation interests on the site, that flooding issues be resolved, re-instatement of the play equipment, preservation of existing rights of way/entry to the rear of existing properties and more importantly the land be put in trust (in perpetuity) as a green space/play area for the whole community (both tenants of Tai Ceredigion and owner occupiers).

We look forward to discussing these points with Tai Ceredigion in the near future.
