Dear Editor,
We have read very often in the press and heard on television and radio of our local Health Authority Hywel Dda.
I have yet to heard this name pronounced correctly (phonetically Huwell Dda) its not hard, anyone from within or over our national border can pronounce either Huw or Hugh i think that somewhere within our border someone has decided that Howell Dda is the way that it has to be for whatever reason. This is a can't be bothered attitude to our national language and if allowed to continue unabated will probably snowball to create a new mother tounge of Welsh or should i say Wolsh.
