Fittest in the platoon!
Private Michael Nash-Jones is officially the fittest man in his platoon.
Michael, 22, from Cardigan, has been nominated by his platoon commander, Captain Alex McDougall, as the best at physical training after completing the challenging Combat Infantryman's Course at Catterick.
Captain Alex McDougall said: "Private Nash-Jones is undoubtedly the fittest man in the platoon. Competing with 58 other recruits over a twenty-six week course as consistently as he has done is an impressive achievement. He will be presented with the Best at Physical Training award on 2 May."
Michael went to Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi where he was keen on most major sports, an interest that has clearly helped him in his army training.
He said: "I found the physical training hard at the beginning of the course, but with time I began to get much better and I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to get to my battalion which is in Cyprus."
