Vote for town park
Vote for us!
That's the message from delighted campaigners in Newcastle Emlyn after the town's King George V playing field was shortlisted in a national competition.
The delapidated park - which was recently condemned by safety experts - is now one of eight finalists bidding for a £10,000 makeover in the Goodyear Playground Appeal.
"We are absolutely delighted," said park campaigner and new town councillor Fiona White.
"This is just the sort of boost we need - and we want everyone everywhere to vote for Newcastle Emlyn!"
To vote simply log onto www.mygoodyear.co.uk and follow the on-site instructions.
Voting starts today and continues throughout May with the park getting the most votes securing the prize.
A fundraising fun day is being held in the park on May 31 between 10am and 4pm.
