A feline who became a familiar feature in Cardigan was put to sleep at the grand old age of 18 last month.
Pepper lived in William Street for a long time and had a many admirers.
People along the street fed him and he came in for shelter and a snooze regularly to the former dentist and the Veteran Horse charity shop.
His frail condition was brought to the attention of the local RSPCA branch in 2010, who found him a suitable retirement home.
Frances Miller, RSPCA Ceredigion said: "We had letters from some of his admirers, some as far away as Barry. Some generously donated funds towards his check-ups at Priory vets.
"Many thanks to all who helped and remember him."
