Lifeboat helps in search for missing person

The New Quay inshore lifeboat was called out at 9am on Tuesday the 31st January to assist the police and Coastguard in the search for a missing person in the Aberaeron area.

Conditions were extremely cold as the lifeboat crew, Ben Billingham, Ceri Knapgate and Tim Harrison, searched the coastline north and south of Aberaeron for over two hours. No trace was found of the person concerned and the crew were stood down shortly afterwards.
