Ceredigion's Welsh Liberal Democrat MP Mark Williams has this week welcomed the Cambrian Mountains Society to Westminster, highlighting the concerns raised by the proposed wind farm at Nant y Moch at a reception.
Mark hosted the event, supported by Montgomeryshire MP Glyn Davies, and Brecon and Radnorshire MP Roger Williams, to allow members of the Cambrian Mountains Society to discuss their concerns with parliamentarians from all parties.
A planning application for a wind-farm at Nant y Moch is due to be submitted to the Infrastructure Planning Commission in November.
Commenting, Mark Williams said: "The event was very well attended, and it was good to see so much support for the excellent work done by the Cambrian Mountains Society.
“It is encouraging that we were able to draw on cross-party support against the plans to build a wind farm at Nant y Moch. This is undeniably the wrong site for such a development, and it’s important that representatives from the area make their voice heard.
“We are lucky to have such an beautiful landscape in our area, and such a large-scale development at Nant y Moch would be devastating for the environment and habitats.”
