Environment Agency Wales Fisheries officers have seized a quantity of fish suspected of being illegally sold from a licensed premises in the Teifi Valley.
Investigations into the source of the wild sea trout and salmon are underway after a tip-off from a concerned member of the public.
Agency officers obtained a court warrant to search the premises and discovered the untagged fish.
Since 2009, it has been illegal to sell rod-caught salmon and sea trout in England and Wales, and all fish caught by licensed net fishers must have a carcass tag attached to show that the fish have come from a legitimate source.
This makes it much more difficult for poachers to sell illegally caught fish and helps safeguard fish stocks.
