Nick Bourne, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives in the National Assembly and Assembly Member for Mid & West Wales, has today called for Assembly Health Minister, Edwina Hart, to make a statement on the measles outbreak in Wales.
Speaking during Questions to the Business Minister in the Chamber today, Nick Bourne called for a statement after it was reported that 127 cases of measles have been identified across mid and west Wales.
Nick Bourne said: "I am very concerned about the measles outbreak in Wales.
So far 162 cases have been identified in Wales, with the vast majority being in Mid & West Wales.
It is imperative that the Health Minister comes to the Assembly and makes a statement on what she is doing to combat this outbreak as soon as possible."
