As hounds screamed through the valley of Cwmdu, from Pont Ceri all the way to Brongest and back, thus ending the first season of the West Wales Farmers Bloodhounds.
A distinct pack of Otter Hound and Bloodhound breeds, brought together by Master Huntsman, Robert Thomas to hunt a laid scent by local runner Mark Kallenberg.
A rally of three cheers from the field for the seasons success could be heard across the Mart Car Park of Newcastle Emlyn, not forgetting donations by the Hunt, accumulating to some £1400, to local charities and good causes, amongst whom were, to the local Mayors' charities, Noah's Ark, Age Concern and Air Ambulance to name but a few.
The season ended where it had begun in the warm hospitality of the Emlyn Arms Hotel.
Masters would like to thank all the farmers, landowners, followers and everyone who has contributed, to make this first season a success.
