Petition over resident

A PETITION signed by 30 residents of Glan y Mor, Aberaeron, has been sent to Ceredigion County Council demanding that a woman should be removed from her home on the estate because she is "a danger to local children".

The woman had allegedly aimed a crossbow at youngsters and threatened to shoot them while they played in the park.

A letter from residents shown to members of Ceredigion's Cabinet this week demanded: "The seriousness of this incident should be looked into very carefully."

Police are investigating the reports and the council's chief executive Bronwen Morgan advised councillors: "There will be no discussion on this here, but I can tell you that work is going ahead with the housing department in relation to this matter."
