Dyslexia project grant boost

10:32am Friday 12th October 2007

The Welsh Dyslexia Project announced last night that they have received a Big Lottery grant of £97,400, which will provide them with a base centre.

The aim is to open a Resource and Advice Centre, either in Cardigan or Newcastle Emlyn.

The Project can therefore provide workshops for parents and children in the area, and will also create two new jobs.

This was announced at the Project's Welsh Language Scheme launch, held at the Carpenters Arms in Llechryd, last night.

He said: "I want to pay tribute to Michael for driving forward the Project with his enthusiasm; their work provides a number of children that would have previously been failed, just because people weren't aware."
