CARDIGAN Castle historian Glen Johnson will be focusing on the 1980s and the era of Barbara Wood when he resumes his castle talks on Friday, September 21.

Glen led the original castle volunteers who befriended Miss Wood at a time when the castle grounds and house were rapidly deteriorating.

The young crew valiantly tried to keep on top of the overgrowth and provide some form of security for Miss Wood, who was plagued by break-ins and intruders.

Their time in the castle left them with a wealth of Miss Wood stories which Glen will be re-telling during his illustrated talk.

The talk starts at 7pm in the tower room and costs just £3 per person.
