A CARDIGAN man has admitted possessing drugs, criminal damage and assaulting a police officer after appearing before the courts.
Ashley David Williams, of Rhos y Dre, Cardigan, pleaded guilty to possessing 23.7 grams of cannabis in the town on August 26.
He also pleaded guilty to damaging a police vehicle and assaulting a police officer at Aberystwyth on the same date when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
Thirty-six-year-old Williams pleaded not guilty to a further charge of assaulting a police officer at Cardigan and was granted unconditional bail to reappear before the bench on October 31 to stand trial.
