A CARDIGAN motorist faces possible disqualification after pleading guilty to driving without insurance and speeding.

Eric James, of Felin Ban, Cardigan, admitted driving without insurance at Crosshands, in Carmarthenshire, on September 27 last year when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.

The 68-year-old also admitted driving at 38mph in a 30mph zone on the A484 Cardigan Road at Newcastle Emlyn on March 9 this year. A further charge of failing to give the identity of the driver for an alleged offence at Pontypridd on April 13 was dismissed.

James is due back in court for sentence on September 20.
